Isle of Wight Heritage Tomatoes
English Asparagus – New Forest, Wye Valley and Spearit
English Outdoor Rhubarb – Wye Valley and Arnolds
Cornish New Potatoes – from FG Pryor in Perranwell
English Strawberries – New Forest Fruit Farm
Mediterranean Peas and Broad Beans
Early European stone fruit – peaches, nectarines and plums
Seasonal Changes
Avocado’s – Morocco and Israel seasons are finishing moving onto Peruvian and Southern Hemisphere
Blueberries – Southern hemisphere fruit is finishing, moving onto Spanish which has seen lots of damage due to extreme weather conditions, prices will not be as low as other years
Cucumbers – Winter crops are finished, only Dutch and a limited volume of UK available
Salad Tomatoes – now Dutch as the winter crops of Spanish come to an end
Capsicums/Peppers – now all new season Dutch – red, green, yellow and orange
Cabbage – Savoy and Pointed Sweetheart now all European
Strawberries – as Spanish finishes and where UK early crop is limited Dutch fruit will fill the void
Lemons – Spanish finishing, South African starting – smaller fruit but clean
Tenderstem – supply limited due to conditions in Spain
